Ayşen Uysal is Professor of Political Science at Dokuz Eylul University in Izmir and Associate Researcher at Sciences Po-CERI and CRESPPA-CSU in Paris.

Her current work focuses on collective action, state control on the street protests, political engagement and networks of political parties in Turkey.

She has published several articles in Turkish, French, English and Spanish, including "A Militant Rather than Scientific Research Object: Social Movements Studies in Turkey" in Fillieule (O.), Accornero (G.), Social Movement Studies in Europe.
