CIVICA at the Sciences Po library
The CIVICA European University Alliance was created in March 2019. Sciences Po is one of the founding members of this alliance.
This network brings together 10 partner universities specialising in social sciences, humanities, public policy and management.
For the ten libraries that make up the Alliance, this initiative will enable them to provide services to mobile students and to ensure a high level of support for research.
It is also an opportunity for library staff to work together to build these services, share best practice and develop their collective skills.
CIVICA libraries: a dynamic network
Together, the partner libraries employ more than 300 staff. The projects underway are both ambitious and diverse:
- Pooling documentary resources for access by all CIVICA users
- Understanding students' information practices as "European citizens" through barometer surveys
- Designing a common documentary training programme for all audiences
- Facilitate access to common course reading lists
- Making the Alliance's research outputs more visible through open access
- Raise awareness of Open Educational Resources
- Build a network of librarians through a mobility programme and exchange of best practice.
