New: a search portal for archives

Created in 2021 following the merger of Sciences Po's three archives services, the Archives Department of Scientific Information and Resources Department (DRIS) is taking a new step forward in its mission to preserve and disseminate its heritages. It now has its own portal: archives.sciencespo.fr.

This new tool will enable you to follow the latest news from the archives, consult inventories, research in all the finding aids and submit consultation requests, among other things. Furthermore, by creating a personal space, you can save your searches and save the entries of interest to you.

The integration of collections on FranceArchives and Calames facilitates access to inventories and digitised archives.

FranceArchives is a national platform bringing together the archive collections of many institutions in France. By referencing its repository on this platform, Sciences Po promotes simplified, cross-disciplinary research for researchers and the curious.

Calames, french manuscripts and archives Catalog, is a platform specialising in the promotion of university and research archive collections. The addition of the Sciences Po archive inventories to Calames reinforces the academic and scientific nature of the collections.

By providing cross-disciplinary access and increased visibility, the Archives Department of the DRIS at Sciences Po contributes to the preservation of intellectual and political heritage, encouraging collaboration between institutions and enriching our collective understanding of the past.
