Back-to-school training: succeeding at Sciences Po

Recreational tours

New to Sciences Po Paris?

Sign up for our recreational tours and impersonate a passionate bibliophile chasing rare and precious books. Your quest is to find a copy of the journal of the French Revolution, recounting the day of July 14, 1789.

As part of a team, you'll learn how to :

  • locate a book in the reading rooms and make loans and returns on the self-service issue machines
  • request and borrow items from closed stacks
  • reserve a seat
  • find out about the distribution of collections between the Saint-Thomas and Saint-Guillaume libraries
  • find help from staff through various on-site or remote contact methods

These one-hour tours are available in French and English. They are open to all Sciences Po Paris students.

Just turn up at the meeting point: at the bottom of the Cour Gribeauval steps on the Saint-Thomas campus, at the date and time you have chosen.
