Emiliano Grossman, appointed Director of the CDSP
Emiliano Grossman, Professor at Sciences Po, has been appointed Director of the Centre de données socio-politiques (CDSP) since January 2024. He succeeds Nicolas Sauger, who has held this position since 2017.
Emiliano Grossman is attached to the Centre for European Studies and Comparative Politics, and devotes his research to comparative political institutions and the comparative analysis of public policy. He works on cycles of attention in politics and on partisan strategies in a political context increasingly constraining the autonomy of governments.
He leads the "political agendas" project, financed over several years by the French National Research Agency (ANR), which aims to develop quantitative indicators of the evolution of political institutions in France.
He is scientific advisor to the "Politics and Public Policy" specialization of the Public Policy Master's program at Sciences Po's School of Public Affairs (EAP). He teaches comparative politics on the Paris campus.
He graduated from Sciences Po ans hold an MPhil from Cambridge University. He defended his thesis at Sciences Po, then his habilitation to direct research at IEP Grenoble. Since September 2017, he has been co-editor-in-chief of the European Journal of Political Research.
