Arnaud Maurel is a PhD candidate in Political Science at Columbia University. He is interested in public finance and local politics, with a regional focus on consolidated democracies. He holds a Master and a Bachelor from Sciences Po Paris, and previously worked for the OECD as a statistical analyst.

Local and urban politics, public debt, political economy of taxation, direct democracy
Research project pursued at the CEE
At the CEE, Arnaud Maurel intends to study the determinants of variations in public indebtedness in French municipalities.
