Gemma Gasseau is a PhD candidate in Transnational Governance, a joint program of the Scuola Normale Superiore and Sant’Anna School for Advanced Studies. She is interested in investigating the relation between economics and politics and the determinants of public and private decision-making. In particular, her current research focuses on the politicization of water services governance in the European Union.
Gemma holds a BA in Economics from the University of Torino. During her BA, she attended an honors program at Collegio Carlo Alberto in Torino. She was also student representative and spent a semester at the University of Helsinki. Moreover, she holds an MA in Global Political Economy from the department of Economic History and International Relations of Stockholm University. During her MA, she interned at the Global Water Partnership in Stockholm.
