Johanna Hornung finished her bachelor degree in social sciences at the TU Braunschweig (Germany) and holds a master of research in political science from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra Barcelona (Spain). Since July 2017, she is working in an international project on comparative health policy that is directed by the French principal investigator Prof. William Genieys and the German principal investigator Prof. Nils C. Bandelow, and funded by the Agence Nationale de la Recherche (ANR) and the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG)
