Martin Babicka is a doctoral student of History at Wadham College, University of Oxford. His DPhil project is titled ‘Children of Paradise: Technology, Nature, and Time in Czechoslovakia, 1970-2000’. He holds a Master’s degree in Modern European History (University of Oxford), with a thesis on temporality and popular legitimacy of voucher privatization in Czechoslovakia as part of the post socialist neoliberal transformation, and a Bachelor’s in History and English (Charles University, Prague).
