Dimitrios-Rafail Tservenis holds a PhD from the School of Political Sciences at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, which he completed in 2021 with a focus on migrant integration in rural areas of Southern Europe. His academic research mainly covers the multilevel governance of migrant integration in Europe and migrants' well-being, particularly in Greece and Italy. In 2023 and early 2024, he worked for the Center of Migration and Globalisation Research at Danube University Krems as part of the MigFund project, which aimed to trace, analyse, and quantify EU financial allocations for migration and asylum over the past two decades. From 2020 to 2022, he primarily collaborated with the Center for European Studies and Comparative Politics at Sciences Po, specifically on the ETHMIGSURVEYDATA project, which aimed at improving the access and reuse of quantitative survey data on the economic, social, and political integration of migrant and ethnic minorities in Europe.
