Roger Lewis was born and raised in Oxford before studying Government and History at the London School of Economics, and thereafter Contemporary British History at King’s College, London, from which he then proceeded to Oxford to commence his DPhil study of the privatisation of British Rail, 1993-1997, and an assessment of the relative success/failure of this policy decision.
Research interests
British History 1900-2000; Nationalisation and Privatisation; Infrastructure Investment/strategic planning; public policy failure, namely in British context; Life and Work of George Orwell
