Silvia Cesa-Bianchi



Silvia Cesa-Bianchi holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Law and Policy from University College London (UCL). She previously obtained her Bachelor's degree in Comparative European and International Legal Studies from the University of Trento. She will be pursuing her PhD thesis jointly between the University of Milano-Bicocca (urban studies laboratory URBEUR ) and the Sciences Po Centre for European Studies and Comparative Politics, CEE.

Research

Silvia’s research work to date has explored topics such as energy policy, sustainability education, urban green spaces, biodiversity law, and climate adjudication. Her thesis, supervised at Sciences Po by Professor Richard Balme, will analyse the impacts of ‘overtourism’ on European cities and the emerging policy reactions, exploring avenues for new governance solutions through a reimagining of this phenomenon based on environmental principles.
