Visting PhD Candidate
Gianluca Piccolino is a PhD candidate in Political Science, European Politics and International Relations, a joint initiative of the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies and the Universities of Florence, Pisa and Siena. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Sciences and a Master's Degree in Political Sciences and Decision-Making Processes, both with honors, from the University of Florence, “Cesare Alfieri” School of Political Sciences. He is teaching assistant («cultore della materia») in Political Science and Italian Political System at the University of Siena.
Research interests
Populism, neo-fascism, Euroscepticism and party organization.
Research project.s you intend to pursue at the CEE
Gianluca Piccolino will explore affinites and divergences between populism, radicalism and extremism in Western Europe, with a particular focus on the French case.
