Ilya Zarankin

I am a second-year PhD student of the School of Political Science of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the National Research University Higher School of Economics. I graduated from this university and obtained bachelor’s and master’s degree diplomas in 2012 and 2014 respectively. From 2014 till 2016 I worked as an editor-translator at the news agency « Rossiya segodnya ».

Research interests

My research interests are political elites, especially the issue of the ministers’ recruitment. Earlier I studied career trajectories and recruitment similarities of Soviet and Russian ministers. Now I compare them to the corps of the French ones.
