Jan Friedrich Is a PhD student in political science (Goethe University Frankfurt 2018) and research assistant at the SAFE Research Center. He holds degrees in business economics and sociology. In his dissertation, he explores the evolution of lease accounting in Europe and the USA and investigates how these processes are reciprocally linked to the development of the international accounting standards. For that purpose, he conducts expert interviews with contemporary witnesses as well as a comment letter analysis.
