Aymeric Leroy is a PhD candidate in political theory at the CEVIPOF. He holds a master's degree in political science with a major in political theory from Sciences Po, as well as a master's degree in moral and political philosophy from La Sorbonne (Paris IV).
His research focuses on the relationship between emotions and politics, drawing on the social sciences, literature and the thought of Michel Foucault. He is particularly interested in the disciplinary and biopolitical management of ressentiment (resentment / bitterness), and in the discourses that define ressentiment as a threat to democracy.
His thesis, “Une généalogie du ressentiment comme dispositif de gouvernement”, is supervised by Frédéric Gros.
