How much is tuition at Sciences Po?

Sciences Po has established an ambitious and forward-thinking financial aid policy, unlike any other in the French higher education system. Our innovative measures allow us to attract talented students from every background.

For students from within the European Economic Area

Since 2005, Sciences Po has established, for all students whose parents’ fiscal residence is within the European Economic Area, a sliding scale system in which tuition fees are based according to family income. Since 2021, tuition fees have been calculated individually based on each student family's financial resources.

For the 2024-25 academic year, tuition fees for students from within the European Economic Area range from 0 to 14,720 euros per year at the undergraduate level, and from 0 to 20,380 euros per year at the graduate level.

In 2022-23, the average tuition fees for French and European students at Sciences Po amounted to:

  • 5,000 euros at the undergraduate level
  • 6,740 euros at the graduate level

33% of our students paid no tuition fees at all.

You can also use our online calculator to estimate fees directly.

For students from outside the European Economic Area

For students whose fiscal residence is outside of the European Economic Area in the 2024-25 academic year, tuition fees amount to:

  • 14,720 euros per year at the undergraduate level
  • 20,380 euros per year at the graduate level

Financial aid and scholarships

Financial aid and scholarships are available for both European and non-European students. In 2021-22, about €11 million of Sciences Po's funds went towards assisting our students via scholarships and financial aid.

Those financial aids are strongly increasing in 2023. Scholarships based on social criteria will amount to 1.3 millions of euros (+15.6%). There are three factors leading to this raise: a rise of the amount dedicated to the CROUS scholarships, a growth of 7% of the Boutmy scholarships for non-European students and a doubling of social aids.
