Summary:
This research analyzes the internal mobilizations and external developments that have led to the agenda-setting and deployment of instruments related to sexual orientation and gender identity in large French companies. Based on a monograph, she explores how the different configurations of actors at different levels of the company influence the instruments put in place. While these instruments are grouped together under the term “LGBT+ inclusion”, they cover audiences with heterogeneous experiences and are reappropriated by cisgender heterosexual managers for whom “inclusive management” is valued without calling into question the discrimination suffered by gender and sexuality minorities.
This research questions the choice of instruments, their re-appropriation and their reception by employees from gender and sexuality minorities. The presentation will focus in particular on the heterogeneity of instrument reception by these minorities.
