SCIENTIFIC COLLABORATIONS
Department of Organisation (IOA), Copenhagen Business School
The CSO and the IOA share not only common research topics and interests, but also a similar approach to the study of organisations. This approach is grounded in a belief that the world we live in – shaped by an ever-increasing number of organisations and organising processes – requires new approaches that take into account the roles of both social movements and social media, of professions and entrepreneurial skills, of market mechanisms and bureaucratization, traditional forms of knowledge and big data, global trends and local particulars. This collaboration aims to establish joint seminars and research stays for PhD students and researchers so as to promote the development of joint research projects.
Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies
The CSO and the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies in Cologne (MPIfG) have been developing close scientific relations for many years. This partnership takes a number of different forms:
- The organisation of interlinked research seminars.
- Research stays and researcher exchanges between the two institutions.
- An exchange programme for doctoral students.
- The foundation of a Franco-German centre in Paris by Max Planck and Sciences Po in 2012.
SCORE (Stockholm Centre for Organisational Research)
The partnership between the CSO and the Swedish SCORE (Stockholm Centre for Organisational Research) laboratory takes several forms that promote regular scientific exchanges between researchers and doctoral students from the two centres:
- The organisation of joint workshops.
- A joint scientific programme.
- Research stays and exchanges of researchers, doctoral students, and post-doctoral students between the two centres.
RESEARCH STRUCTURES
Laboratory for Interdisciplinary Evaluation of Public Policies (LIEPP)
Website
In recent years, the CSO has been heavily involved in the creation of research structures linked to the “Investments for the Future” programme. The centre is a founding member of the Labex LIEPP (Interdisciplinary Laboratory for the Evaluation of Public Policies) and its members actively contribute to numerous research programmes and projects.
Sciences Po Health Chair
Created in 2006, now directed by Daniel Benamouzig, sociologist and research director at the CNRS at the Center for Sociology of Organizations, the Health Chair aims to rethink public health and its transformations from a transversal, multidisciplinary approach, addressing topics such as regulation of the health care system, organisation of health care services, and consideration of health in all public policies. Backed by the CSO, the Health Chair is led by Daniel Benamouzig.
EXCHANGES
SASE (Society for the Advancement of Socio-Economics)
The CSO has maintained very close relations with SASE (Society for the Advancement of Socio-Economics) for over a decade. For much of this period, the CSO hosted SASE’s head office and Executive Director on its premises.
This partnership results in:
- The participation of CSO members in the governing and organising bodies of SASE.
- The contributions of researchers and doctoral students to SASE annual meetings.
- The hosting of SASE’s Executive Director Emerita, Martha Zuber, at the CSO.
