We are delighted to welcome several guests :

Maggie Müller is a visiting doctoral student at the University of Roskilde in Denmark. She is exploring the lived realities of unemployment in peripheral regions. Through longitudinal fieldwork in a rural Danish town, She has employed shadowing techniques and visual methods, such as photo-elicitation, to examine experiences of dignity and indignity while unemployed. Her research, part of the Indigma project, adopt a comparative approach between Denmark, the US, and France, shedding light on how different socio-political contexts influence not only economic precarity but also the social and emotional dimensions of being unemployed. Maggie will be at the CSO from March to June 2025 at the invitation of Didier Demazière.

Tessa Barnow is a visiting doctoral student in the Department of Business Humanities and Law at Copenhagen Business School. She is interested in the European governance of the sustainable transition of economy and society, using the European taxonomy as a means of making private companies sustainable. With us until June, she is hosted by Sophie Dubuisson-Quellier.

Chenchen Zhu is a visiting doctoral student at the University of Amsterdam. She is conducting fieldwork on the processional experiences and transnational careers of Chinese artists based in France. Invited to the CSO until June, she is hosted by Léonie Hénaut.
