Dominic ROHNER is Professor of Political and Institutional Economics at HEC Lausanne (University of Lausanne) since 2012. He is also a Research Fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR). Prior to joining the University of Lausanne, he taught at the Universities of York and Zurich. He is Associate Editor of the Journal of the European Economic Association, and holds research affiliations at the universities of Oxford, Cambridge, Zurich, Oslo, and Sussex.
His research focuses on political and development economics. Several of his recent papers have studied the role of natural resources and social capital for explaining armed conflict. His research has won several prizes and has been widely published.
