Milena Almagro
Milena ALMAGRO is Assistant Professor of Economics, Liew Family Junior Faculty Fellow, and George G. Rinder Faculty Fellow at Chicago Booth School of Business. She is also Faculty Research Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) and Associated Faculty at the Center for Monetary and Financial Studies (CEMFI). Prior to joining Booth, she was was a Junior Scholar of the Opportunity and Inclusive Growth Institute at the Minneapolis Fed.

Milena Almagro's research focuses on urban inequality using tools from the Industrial Organisation literature to study the internal structure of cities. Her work expands on several topics, ranging from the impact of gentrification on the well-being of different demographic groups to racial segregation and inequality in US cities. Her research has been published notably in Theoretical Economics and the Journal of Urban Economics: Insight.

Milena ALMAGRO will present a paper, joint with Juan Camilo Castillo, Nathaniel Hickok, Felipe Kup, and Tobias Salz, at our first Structural Seminar of the year on the theme:
