Portrait of Dita Eckardt

Dita Eckardt is Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Warwick since 2021. Prior to joining Warwick, she was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS), where she remains a Research Associate. She is also a Research Associate at the Centre for Competitive Advantage in the Global Economy (CAGE), an Associate at the Centre for Economic Performance (CEP), and a Research Affiliate at the Institute of Labor Economics (IZA).

She is an applied economist, focusing on policy-relevant topics in labour economics. Her current research explores the specificity of human capital and how this affects workers’ ability to work in different occupations. In a second strand of research, she works on methodological advances in applied econometrics.
