Portrait of Nawid Siassi

Nawid Siassi is Associate Professor of Dynamic Macroeconomics at the Technische Universität Wien (TU Wien) Institute of Statistics and Mathematical Methods in Economics. Prior to joining TU Wien in 2019, he was faculty member at the University of Konstanz.

His research interests are in Macroeconomics, Labour Economics, and Computational Economics. He focuses on the determinants and consequences of inequality, the value of insurance within households and the effectiveness of labor market policies and poverty reduction programs. He is the Prinicipal Investigator of a project On the Optimal Design of Tax-Transfer Policies for Low-Income Households, awarded a grant from the OeNB Anniversary Fund
