Stefan Pollinger is Assistant Professor of Economics at the Department since 2021.

His main fields of interest are Public and Environmental Economics. His research focuses on the evaluation and optimization of public policies. The theoretical part of his work focuses on deriving optimal public policies as a function of observable sufficient-statistics. The empirical part focuses on recovering sufficient-statistics for optimal policy design by using novel quasi-experimental identification strategies.
