Portrait of Johannes Boehm

Johannes Boehm is Professor of International Economics at the Geneva Graduate Institute (IHEID - Institut de hautes études internationales et du développement) since 2024. Prior to joining IHEID, he was a permanent faculty member at the Department. He is also a Research Fellow of the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) and at the Centre for Economic Performance (CEP, LSE). 

He conducts research on topics related to international trade, industrial development, growth, firms, as well as on macroeconomics and environmental economics. His current research focuses on the role that trade and trade networks play in the process of growth, and on policies that can foster both the development of industrial capabilities and enhance economic resilience in the face of adverse conditions, including geopolitical risk and climate change.
