Empirical IO Seminar *via Zoom* - Mar 15th

Nikhil Agarwal

Nikhil AGARWAL is Associate Professor of Economics (with tenure) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He is Co-Director (Health) of MIT's Blueprint Labs. He is a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER). Among his editorial duties, he is an Associate Editor of the American Economic Journal: Microeconomics

He studies the design of markets and the interface between economic theory, statistics and real-world practice. He has applied his work to markets in education and healthcare settings, including organ donations, residency matching and school choice. He has published several articles at top journals such as Econometrica and the American Economic Review. His research is funded by the NIH and NSF. He is a recipient of the Sloan Research Fellowship.
