Michela Boldrini, CIVICA short faculty visitor
We are pleased to be hosting in the framework of CIVICA's 6th short faculty visits programme Michela Boldrini, a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Bocconi's Innocenzo Gasparini Institute for Economic Research (IGIER). She will be staying with us from April 9th to April 11th, in the Department's new open space, room F 304.
CIVICA's short faculty visits scheme aims to foster collaborative activities among CIVICA universities, to further existing links or to establish new ones. Activities may include, but are not limited to, giving a talk, participating in a CIVICA conference, organising and/or participating in workshops or seminars for PhD researchers, networking with faculty, and discussing potential research projects.
She arrives during one of the Department's busiest weeks of this academic year with no less than 8 seminars programmed - we are sure her visit will be fruitful!
Michela is an applied economist relying on experiments to study how preferences, norms, and information shape economic decision-making. She is interested in particular in studying how preferences, norms, and institutional factors can help achieve cooperation and efficiency in social dilemmas - especially environmental/ecological dilemmas. She is also interested in studying how information shapes individuals’ decision-making and attitudes, especially in, but not limited to, digital contexts.
She holds a PhD en Economics from Bologna and is also a Junior Affiliated Scientist at the RFF-CMCC European Institute on Economics and the Environment and an Associate at the Bocconi Experimental Lab for the Social Sciences (BELSS) and Bologna Laboratory for Experiments in Social Science (BLESS).
Welcome Michela!
