Monika Mrázová is Professor of Economics at the Geneva School of Economics and Management (GSEM)  and the Director of the Institute of Economics and Econometrics of the University of Geneva. She is also a Research Affiliate at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) and a CESifo Research Network Fellow. She is a Panel member of Economic Policy and Executive Committee member of the European Association for Research in Industrial Economics (EARIE).

Her research interests lie in the fields of International Trade, Political Economy and Industrial Organisation. She has been distinguished often: she was most recently awarded a Peter B. Kenen Fellowship,  International Economics Section at Princeton University in 2022-2023, and in 2022 she received the  Kateřina Šmídková Prize of the Czech Economic Society (best Czech female economist). She was awarded an important starting grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation for her project Global and Regional Externalities in Trade Agreements.
