Roy-ADRES Seminar - Jun 3rd

Filip MATEJKA is Associate Professor with Tenure at CERGE, Charles University and a Senior Researcher at the Economics Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences. He is also a Research Fellow at the Centre for Economic and Policy Research (CEPR) and a member of the Editorial Board of the Review of Economic Studies and American Economic Review.

His area of research is mainly macroeconomics, political economy, information economics (mostly rational inattention), and behavioural economics. His work has been published in several leading economics journals, including Econometrica, the Journal of Economic Theory, Review of Economic Studies, and others. After completing an ERC Starting grant project entitled Behavioral and Policy Implications of Rational Inattention, in 2020 he was awarded a prestigious ERC Consolidator grant for his project Economics of Inattention.
