Mariagiovanna Baccara is Professor of Economics at the Olin School of Business, where she was Economics Area Chair from 2015 to 2021, and of the Department of Economics at Washington University at Saint Louis (WUSTL). She is also a Research Fellow of the Centre for Economic and Policy Research (CEPR), a Fellow of the Society of Advancement of Economic Theory (SAET), and she currently holds editorial positions at American Economic Journal: Microeconomics, Theoretical Economics, and International Journal of Industrial Organization.
Currently her main research interests involve matching, the markets for information, organisation theory, and social networks. Her work has been published in the American Economic Review, the Review of Economic Studies, the Journal of Economic Theory, and other leading academic journals.
