Seminars
The Department's dense seminar scheduling is one of its hallmarks and one of the building blocks of its academic community.
Our internal seminar series (Departmental Seminar, Empirical IO, Friday Seminar) stimulate the 'conversation' and encourage collaborations among faculty members as well as among and with our PhD students.
These seminars along with research seminars organised in collaboration with other institutions (Banque de France research seminars, the Paris Trade Seminar and the Paris Empirical Political Economy Seminar, co-organised with the Paris School of Economics) also contribute to the global reach of the Department's scientific production: between 2012 and 2017, the Department hosted nearly 500 visiting researchers from France, Europe and around the world.
The halls of the Department are rarely quiet - its researchers are present, have an 'open door' policy and scientific discussion is common place !
