Jeanne HAGENBACH

Jeanne Hagenbach joined the Department in December 2017 as a CNRS Researcher and an Associate Professor of Economics.
Her research interests are Microeconomic Theory, Game Theory, as well as Experimental and Behavioural Economics. She is particularly interested in understanding how agents communicate strategically and form self-serving beliefs.
In 2016, Jeanne Hagenbach was awarded the prestigious Bronze Medal by the CNRS. In 2019, she received an ERC grant for her project "Motivated Reading of Evidence" (MOREV). Her work has been published in international, peer-reviewed journals, such as Econometrica, or the Review of Economic Studies, as well as in more specialized reviews - Games and Economic Behavior, Review of Economic Design... She is a member of the Editorial Board of the Review of Economic Studies and an Associate Editor at the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization. She is also a CEPR Research Fellow.
Before joining the Department’s permanent faculty, Jeanne Hagenbach was a Research Affiliate at the École Polytechnique.
Jeanne Hagenbach holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne.
