Dual degree with the London School of Economics is now open to international students
Until 2021, only Sciences Po and LSE students enrolled in the first year of the Master's programme could apply for the Public Policy and Public Administration dual Master's programme. The admission procedure is now open to all candidates, including external candidates, as is already the case for the double Master's programme in European Affairs (EAP/LSE). We are now accepting applications for our 2023 intake.
WHAT DOES THE DUAL MASTER IN PUBLIC POLICY AND PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION SCIENCES PO/LSE INCLUDE?
This dual Master’s degree aims to equip students with a well-rounded, multi-disciplinary and applied public policy education that harnesses the best of two of the world’s leading social science institutions. This two-year programme combines the study of economics, public administration and management. Its purpose is to provide young professionals with solid expertise in the management and evaluation of public policies, in a European context and in two major European capitals.
HOW IS THE PROGRAMME STRUCTURED?
The first year at Sciences Po (Paris, France)
The first year of the programme at Sciences Po allows students to acquire comparative and transversal knowledge of public affairs by crossing economic, legal, managerial, political, ethical, historical and digital humanities approaches.
They also develop their expertise by choosing one of the eleven policy streams in the area that they choose to specialize in (in English or in French). Thanks to a highly practical and concrete approach, students will be able to understand, in a multicultural environment, the major political, social and economic issues of tomorrow.
Students explore the intersection between public policy and today’s major issues, with an emphasis on a hands-on, concrete approach. Students also have the possibility to apply to participate in different innovative programmes offered by the school, such as the SDG Certificate (in English), the Gender Equality and Public Policy Certificate (in French), and the Public Policy Incubator programme, and thus personalise their course.
The second year at the London School of Economics and Political Science (London, UK)
The second year at LSE complements the skills acquired during the first year of the Masters. The programme aims to equip students with a second area of specialisation – either complementary or distinct from – their choice during the first year. The programme further adds to students’ professional experience with a second year capstone project in which students work in teams with a partner organization to solve a real-world policy problem.
Upon successful completion of the two years, students receive two degrees: a Master's in Public Policy from Sciences Po and a Master's in Public Administration from LSE.
HOW TO APPLY?
The dual degree programme with the LSE School of Public Policy is open to all candidates with a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) worldwide. For more information on how to apply, consult the Sciences Po admissions website.
