Discover the Law School
The Sciences Po Law School aims at educating high-caliber law professionals, capable of engaging in a constantly changing professional world, supported by the school's vibrant academic community.
Our challenge: to teach students law, through an interactive pedagogical method that develops their critical mind and creativity. It will give them the opportunity not only to join the Bar, but also to contribute to the business world, economic regulation agencies or the Judiciary.
Two-Year Masters
Entirely unique in France, the Law School’s institutional objectives are founded on its inspirational academic community and international network of excellence.
Master in Economic Law
The Master in Economic Law is open to all students wishing to enter the legal profession, whether as in-house corporate lawyers, for governmental or non-governmental organisations, regulatory bodies, or a range of other careers. The course’s first year is devoted to mastering the fundamentals of law that form the foundation of a robust legal culture. During their second year, students have a choice of one of six specialisations selected to fit their career plans: Economic Litigation and Arbitration; Public Financial Law; Companies, Markets, Regulation; Global Business Law and Governance; Global Governance Studies; Innovation Law.
They may also choose to complete a year of work experience between the two years of their Master's degree. This year can be used to complete long-term internships or exchanges with the Law School's partner universities.

Master in Judicial and Legal Professions
Taught in French alone, this Master’s degree is aimed primarily at students wishing to sit France’s competitive legal entrance exams. It gives them the necessary knowledge of legal dialectics, while familiarising them with the skills required for professions such as magistrate, police commissioner, local police officer or director of prison services.

Three-Year Master's Degree
Joint Master of Law and Finance
The Joint Master of Law and Finance aims to produce experts in business law and financial instruments, financial regulation and financial risk management. Divided into six semesters, the course fuses the Master in Economic Law and the Master in Finance and Strategy at Sciences Po’s School of Management and Innovation.
LLM in Transnational Arbitration & Dispute Settlement
The LLM in Transnational Arbitration & Dispute Settlement is an intensive course designed for graduates and young professionals.
The LLM (Master of Law) is aimed at candidates wishing to specialise in the field of arbitration and transnational dispute resolution. The programme’s high-calibre training enables students to pursue the most competitive positions in international law firms, arbitration institutions and international organisations.

Preparation for competitive legal exams
The Law School offers preparation for three high-level competitive legal exams (FR), and has had exceptional success rates in recent years. Taught in French alone, the classes are open to students from both Sciences Po and outside.
French National School for the Judiciary (ENM) entrance exam
Preparation classes for the only training school for magistrates in France. Intensive course periods are alternated with periods of individual work and training throughout the year.

Entrance exam of the École Supérieure de Police (ENSP) and the École des Officiers de la Gendarmerie Nationale (EOGN)
Preparation classes for France’s national training schools for police officers. Intensive course periods are alternated with periods of individual and group training throughout the year.
PHD Programme
The PhD programme is aimed at students interested in conducting legal research or pursuing careers in academia.

The Law School takes an interactive approach to teaching, which develops critical thinking and paves the way for students to join the Bar, the judiciary, private companies, regulatory bodies, public offices or a doctoral programme in economic law, globalisation, public action or legal and judicial theory.
