Darina Petrova is a PhD candidate at Sciences PO Law School, working under the supervision of Professor Jean d’Aspremont. Her research is situated in the intersection between critical legal studies, science and technology studies (STS) and ethnography and focuses on the material-semiotics of ‘Green worldmaking’. Guided by the question ‘what and whose green?’, it follows a story composed of snapshots starting from the OECD and leading to the Russian Arctic.
She holds a Masters Degree in International Administration and Public International Law from University Paris II Panthéon-Assas, Research Masters in History of International Relations from University Paris-Sorbonne and B.A in Political Science and French Philology from University of Helsinki and Sciences PO Paris. Prior to undertaking research, she worked as a legal analyst at the Environment Directorate of the OECD, International Court of Justice and the UN Department of Political Affairs. During the academic year 2018-2019, she was a visiting researcher at Harvard Law School.
