Beatriz Botero Arcila

Beatriz Botero Arcila est Assistant Professor à l'École de droit de Sciences Po et chercheuse associée au Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society de l'Université de Harvard. Elle est titulaire d'un LLM et d'un doctorat de la Harvard Law School où elle a soutenu une thèse sur la gouvernance des villes intelligentes, des plateformes urbaines et des données qu'elles collectent.  

Beatriz est une chercheuse en droit et technologie, avec un accent sur la gouvernance des données et de l'intelligence artificielle, et la surveillance numérique.  À Sciences Po, elle donne des cours sur l'IA et le droit des données, le droit de l'Internet et la théorie du droit. En 2024, son article “Future-Proofing Transparency : Re-Thinking Public Record Governance for the Age of Big Data”, a été sélectionné pour le 14e prix annuel Privacy Papers du Future of Privacy Forum.

Le professeur Botero Arcila a travaillé avec des entreprises fintech, la société civile et des organisations internationales, et a donné des cours sur le droit et l'économie de l'information numérique dans plusieurs universités en Colombie. Elle est également cofondatrice de l'Edgelands Institute, un institut pop-up incubé au Berkman Klein Center qui se concentre sur l'étude de la surveillance numérique et des villes.
