Master in Economic Law, 2nd year: Public Economic Law

The Public Economic Law (DPE) specialty is open to students who have completed the first year of the Law School (Master's Degree in Economic Law) and to students graduating from the Master's Degree in Public Affairs who specifically wish to prepare for the bar exam (see link for information on the Passerelle). The courses taught in the specialty cover all national and international aspects of public economic law, the expansion of which has been increasing over the last twenty years and affects all sectors of economic activity. The DPE speciality combines instruction on fundamental themes and concepts in public economic law (public heritage & public property, administrative litigation, public contracts, international public contract law, local authority law, etc.), encouraging concrete reflection on specific operational questions in preparation for legal practice (Corporate and Project Finance, practice of pre-contractual litigation, etc.) and mastery of current events from a legal counsel perspective. Students from the Public Affairs master's degree will complement their training by also following fundamental civil law courses and a first-year legal theory course from the Master's Degree in Economic Law .

In accordance with the educational objectives of the School of Law, this sector is based, not on lecture courses, but on an interactive pedagogy implemented within seminars and workshops led, in French or English, by academics and legal professionals with very diverse professional experiences in the public and private sectors.

Its objective is to train very high-level jurists likely to join the public law departments of French and foreign law firms and the legal departments of large private or public companies or local authorities, who are looking for specialists with all the necessary both perfect technical knowledge and a strategic and multidisciplinary vision of public economic law.
