Ben Chaabane Mousli, Yacine

PhD Candidate, Researcher

My name is Yacine Mousli, and I am a Tunisian-American PhD Candidate at the Law School. My research focuses on decolonial theory and constitutional law, and I work with the supervision of Professor Guillaume Tusseau.

In Sciences Po, I hold a Teaching Assistant position for the classes of “Institutions Politiques” (Undergraduate College, First Year) and “Figures & Trajectoires du Constitutionnalisme” (Master’s Common Academic Curriculum). Moreover, I tutor a team of three students within the Migration clinic, on a project about medical visa in France for foreigners suffering from HIV.

I graduated with a Master 2 in comparative public law from the Université Paris Panthéon-Assas, where I wrote a dissertation about the United States Supreme Court. My professional experiences include an internship at the Tribunal Administratif de Paris and a research assistant position at the Institut Michel Villey, where I am still Assistant General Secretary.

My research interests include comparative constitutional law, the evolution of constitutionalism, including in the Arab world, and critical legal studies. Furthermore, I enjoy making memes to make legal knowledge more accessible.

Provisional thesis title: Decolonial theory and comparative constitutional law.
