Veronica Corcodel is a Postdoctoral Fellow that joined the Chair of Excellence held by Loïc Azoulai Forms of Life and Legal Integration in Europe (FOLIE) in May 2016. She is also part of the pedagogical team of the Migration Clinic of Sciences Po Law School.
Veronica holds a Ph.D. from Sciences Po Law School, which she completed under the supervision of Professor Horatia Muir Watt (2015). She is the author of the forthcoming book Modern Law and Otherness: The Dynamics of Inclusion and Exclusion in Comparative Legal Thought (Edward Elgar, 2018).
Her current research focuses on the ways in which European law shapes and is shaped by the lives of “third-country” migrants.
Prior to her postdoctoral position, Veronica was a Teaching Fellow at Sciences Po Toulouse, where she taught European Union Law and Public International Law. She also taught a course on Comparative Law at Sciences Po Law School. Her areas of interests include EU law, comparative law, international law, critical legal theory, history of legal thought and postcolonial theory.
