Costa dos Anjos, Lucas

Lucas Anjos is a postdoctoral researcher of the Sciences Po School of Law. His research interests include algorithmic transparency, trade secrets, explanation of automated decisions and the new challenges stemming from artificial intelligence. His research on the subject is financed by a Postdoctoral Fellowship from the McCourt Institute, within the project Towards a New Digital Rule of Law.

In addition to being a researcher at the Brazilian Data Protection Authority, Lucas is also a Professor at the Law School of Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora. He holds a Doctor degree in Law and in Sciences Juridiques from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais and Université libre de Bruxelles, respectively, and a Master degree in Law from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais. He is also the founder and was a scientific advisor of the Institute for Research on Internet and Society (IRIS).
