A graduate of Science Po and the Université Paris II-Assas, Jean-Michel Darrois is a founding lawyer of the law office Darrois Villey Maillot Brochier. He is specialized in civil litigation and more particularly in mergers and acquisitions and securities litigations. Regularly classed among the best specialists in this discipline, Professor Darrois advises numerous large companies on their financial operations. At the Sciences Po Law School, Jean-Michel Darrois teaches classes on contentions applied to the economic sector.
Jean-Michel Darrois is also heavily involved in public debate. He has been a member of the Commission for the Liberation of French Growth presided over by Jacques Attali and was charged by the President of the Republic to write a report of the reform of law professions, released in March 2009. He has been granted the title Officier and then Commandeur of the Légion d'honneur.
