PhD Candidate, Researcher
Thibault Mechler is a PhD candidate at Sciences Po Law School working on the act of listening in judicial proceedings. He is pursuing his research under the supervision of Professor Christophe Jamin.
Extending on Sound Studies and Law and the Senses literature, he specifically examines how procedural provisions as discursive devices shape and channel listening practices in the courtroom.
This doctoral project draws on his artistic practice and research as composer of electroacoustic music.
Before joining Sciences Po, he studied international law at the University of Strasbourg and graduated in international economic law from Paris II Panthéon-Assas.
