First Edition of the Cross-Examination Moot (2021)

The week of 22-26 November 2021, the first edition of the Cross-Examination Moot took place virtually. This is the first standalone global platform to train students on the practice of cross-examination and quantum issues.

Over 200 students and coaches, from almost 40 teams, representing more than 20 nationalities, participated in over 70 hearings from all corners of the world. During the entire week, they cross-examined witnesses and even real quantum experts, based on a mock case concerning the construction of a windfarm.

A true success of the entire arbitration community!

Congratulations to ALL the teams and students that proved to be up for this new challenge!

Eight teams made it to the elimination rounds: (i)Sciences Po, (ii)National Law School of India, (iii)Queen Mary University of London, (iv)Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University, (v)Chulalongkorn University, (vi)BPP University Law School, (vii)The Hague University of Applied Sciences, and (viii) Universität Hamburg.

The winners of the semi-finals (the "Jus Mundi Match") won a subscription to Jus Mundi.
