Associate professor

A graduate in law of Sciences Po, alum of the National School of Administration (ENA), Bernard Stirn was named auditeur au Conseil d’État in 1976.

Successively Commissaire du gouvernement, General Secretary of the Council of State, President of the 7th sub-section of the State Council, Assistant President of the legal department, then President of the legal department of the Council of State since 2006, Bernard Stirn has also been director of the office of the Council of State for the Ministry of National Education (1983-1984) and assistant rapporteur to the Constitutional Council (1986-1991). Since 2001, he has presided over the administrative council of the National Opera of Paris.

Bernard Stirn is also an associate professor at Sciences Po and, at the Law School, he teaches courses on public law and public liberties and fundamental rights.
