Biographie
Jean d’Aspremont est professeur de théorie du droit international et de philosophie du droit à l’École de Droit de Sciences Po. Il est également professeur à l’Université de Manchester et à l’Institut des Hautes Études Internationales et du Développement (IHEID) à Genève. Il est directeur de la série Cambridge Studies in International and Comparative Law et directeur de la banque de données Oxford International Organizations (OXIO). Il est également directeur de la série Melland Schill Studies in International Law. Il a publié plus de deux douzaines de livres et 200 articles sur des questions de droit international, de théorie juridique et de philosophie du droit. Ses travaux ont été traduits en plusieurs langues, notamment en espagnol, portugais, russe, mandarin, hindi, japonais et persan.
Avant d’être nommé à Sciences Po, il a été professeur de théorie du droit international à l’Université d’Amsterdam. Il a été le Editeur-en-Chef du Leiden Journal of International Law. Il est titulaire d’une maîtrise en droit (LLM) de l’Université de Cambridge et d’un doctorat (Ph.D) en droit de l’Université de Louvain. Il a été Conseil devant la Cour international de Justice.
