TWAIL conversations on current debates/crises
À propos de cet événement
Le 06 mars 2024 de 17:00 à 19:00
Salle K011
1 pl. Saint-Thomas-d'Aquin, 75007, ParisHow are scholars from the Global South interpreting the causes and consequences of current economic, political and social challenges? What are the theoretical tools they are drawing from? What is the world they hope to build?
To grapple with these issues and more, a series on “Third World Approaches to International Law (TWAIL) conversations on current debates/crises” will be launched.
In our first event, planned on Wednesday the 6th of March from 5pm to 7pm in room K011, 1 St Thomas, Sciences Po Paris campus, we are starting the series on the theoretical tools offered by TWAIL scholarship as a critical tradition dealing with issues relating to the laws of war, inequality, and revolutionary movements. We hope to address some of these issues and explore the ways TWAIL scholarship and scholars play a role in possible reconfigurations of solidarity and alignment in the Global South.
