Our mission

Management, Impact and Common good

The School of Management and Impact’s mission is to address the complex challenges that companies are facing today: the environmental transition that requires to rethink their role and responsibilities towards society and the planet; the digital transformation that disrupts economic activity; the necessary understanding of contemporary issues (artificial intelligence, tensions in global value chains, deglobalisation, etc.).

At the heart of the social and environmental impact of businesses 

The School of Management and Impact thus embraces a vision of the business world that is aware of environmental, social, and societal challenges and actively involved in transforming current models.

It educates students eager to engage with society through business and entrepreneurship. It develops their ability to take concrete actions within the organizations they work at.

Today, businesses and economic activity cannot be understood without considering their impact. By contributing to the economic growth of a territory, companies play an economic, social, and political role that extends to the local, national, and transnational levels. They increasingly need to reconcile the interests of shareholders with those of multiple stakeholders, while integrating a focus on the common good.

These challenges are embodied in each of the school’s Masters's programmes.

The Common Good Project

The purpose of the school is rooted in our ability to act for the common good, within and through business, while considering the need to rethink economic growth. 

To train change-makers, the School of Management and Impact relies on three pillars:

  • Impact, as a criterion and measure of the role of businesses in society, with the pursuit of an economic model that is both responsible and high-performing.
  • Data and digitalization transform businesses, sectors, and companies and change our work. It needs to be fully understood, and the various tools mastered.
  • Creativity, to anticipate and support the development of a creative economy and new business models.

Our pedagogical approach

The school is proud to welcome a dynamic, international, and diverse community of over 1,200 students and nearly 500 teachers. Its interdisciplinary pedagogical approach is based on cross-cutting teachings in social sciences, management sciences, management, professional courses with leading specialists, and practical cases (business cases, capstone projects, etc.).

With over a third of international students from nearly forty different countries, Masters and programmes taught in French, English, or bilingual, and teachers and speakers from all nationalities, the School of Management and Impact fully embodies the international DNA of Sciences Po.
