2025 CIVICA postdoctoral fellowship programme
CIVICA partners have established a fellowship programme for postdoctoral researchers to spend up to ten (10) months at a CIVICA partner institution.
The programme is funded and selected applicants will receive an allowance/grant to cover their mobility. The specific financial conditions vary from one institution to another. Interested potential applicants are invited to turn to the contact persons listed below for further details.
The aim of the CIVICA postdoctoral fellowship programme is to support early-stage researchers (ESRs) in their career development by increasing mobility across the alliance as well as to enhance collaboration within CIVICA.
The call is open to:
- doctoral students about to defend their doctoral thesis,
- young doctors (who defended their thesis in 2024/2025 and who do not have an employment contract with another institution during the application procedure),
- post-doctoral researchers affiliated to Sciences Po during the application procedure and the period of mobility in the other CIVICA institution.
The scholarship funds up to 10 months of mobility in another CIVICA institution (Bocconi, CEU, EUI, Hertie School, IE University, Stockholm School of Economics, SNSPA, SGH Warsaw School of Economics).
The deadline for responding to the call is 22 April 2025.
To apply, candidates must send:
- A CV and a list of publications (if applicable)
- A research proposal (question/hypothesis, methodology, expected results)
- A letter of motivation explaining the interest of the stay at the host university
- A letter of support from their research centre at Sciences Po.
- Two letters of intent from the host university: one from the host unit confirming its willingness to host the postdoc, and one from a professor agreeing to supervise them academically.
Complete applications should be sent by e-mail to Alina Thiemann (alina.thiemann@sciencespo.fr), the contact person at Sciences Po for this postdoctoral mobility programme.
