Call for 2 PhD Fellowships at Sciences Po: 1 PhD on environmental transformations and 1 PhD on digital transformations
CONTEXT
Sciences Po is an institution of higher education and research in the humanities and social sciences. Its permanent research community – 270 professors and researchers – is divided into 5 disciplinary academic departments: Sociology, Political Science, History, Economics and Law. The production and dissemination of the corresponding knowledge is spread into 10 internationally highly recognized research centers (including 5 units jointly run with the National Center for Scientific Research – CNRS): CDSP, CEE, CERI, CEVIPOF, CHSP, CRIS, CSO, Département d'économie, École de droit, médialab.
As a research university, Sciences Po has the ambition to train people to meet contemporary challenges of societal transformation through the acquisition of knowledge and methods derived from research. Environmental and digital transitions generate multiple in-depth changes within societies and challenge democratic systems in unprecedented ways. These two PhD positions contribute to Sciences Po’s ambition to play a leading role in research and training on both transversal topics, and to the work of its two Institutes : the Institute for environmental transformations and the Open Institute for digital transformations.
